Q: I have a 1998 Volvo S90. The fuel door cover can't be locked and can be lifted open with a finger giving access to the gas tank. Can people steal gas from my car?
A: Yes but it's very difficult with today's modern gas tanks. The bends in the filler neck with usually stops any hose from entering the gas tank. I'm sure people could with the correct equipment and experience. If the door won't lock, I suggest purchasing a locking gas cap at your local Pep Boys. It's only around $12 and comes with two keys.
