Q: When I get the RPM up past about 3500 it feels like the power kicks out for a second and sometimes comes back other times it will just accelerate, but not as fast as it should. Have any of the pros on here heard of this? solution?
A: Your problem could be a few different things. Check to see if any of the boost tubes from the turbo/intercooler are loose, cracked, deteriorated. It could also be a fuel or spark concern, causing a misfire. You may also be looking at one of several pressure/temperature/air flow sensors on your engine. It is difficult to diagnose your vehicle without driving it, but these are some places to look. I recommend taking it to your Volvo dealer, they should be able to help you. Hope this helps.
