Q: Anybody went off road with his 2.7 vvti engine also called 2tr-fe on a toyota fortuner, Prado, Hilux or Tacoma? Is it a good engine for off-road and desert? All the reviews out there are on these same cars but always with the larger engines?
A: From where I live (Philippines) there is no 4x4 Fortuner or Hilux with 2.7VVTi engine, only 4x2. 4x4 Fortuner and Hilux here have the 3.0 D4D engine only. Obviously, 4x2 isn't for serious off-roading.
