Q: Am thinking about buying a 2006 and am looking for as much info on it as I can get. So, are you happy with it? Any pros or cons? Thanks for any information you can give me.....
A: The 06 was the last year of the old style XL7/Grand Vitara which makes it the most trouble free and reliable model available. Only the new SX4 surpasses it in my opinion. The basic and powertrain warranty transfers with the car so your covered for 3 years/36000 miles bumper to bumper and 7 years/100,000 miles on powertrain ( major engine,trans and a few other things)( from date of original purchase). The 06 is actually a sought after model for these reasons. The previous post is all true enough also, so nothing to add to that area. Good luck!
