Q: Tryin to put a new alternator on, I've removed the 3 bolts but old alternator wont come away from the housing. Please help some1!!!! many thanks
A: You will need either a 3 leg puller, or if you can see an internal thread in the alternator rotor, then there is a tool that screws into this, with another screw in the middle that you tighten onto the shaft and this pops the alternator rotor off.. Either way, do not be tempted to hit either the rotor or the shaft with a hammer, you will cause a lot of damage to your wallet..
