How to make scion tC sound amazing?

Q: hi i'm getting a scion tC and i was wondering what i need to install in order for it to sound good/loud. i don't want it to sound like some cheap lawnmower engine. I'm guessing new exhaust/muffler? any suggestions on brands?

A: to get it to sound good/loud, most people just buy an axleback exhaust and slap it on their tc. axlebacks are good because they are easy to install and don't cause your emissions to go up and still retain your 2nd catalytic converter. however, axlebacks don't give you that much power (maybe 3 hp at the most). catbacks make the most power and you can make it sound pretty loud with that. brands: 1) greddy 2) megan 3) tsudo 4) hks <---my favorite 5) trd 6) tanabe <---good one too, but might be too quiet for what your looking for check out the link i sent you, it has pictures/descriptions and video of how each exhausts sounds like. for the most part though, axlebacks are quieter than cat-backs unless you add different after market parts in the engine bay (mainly a header/intake). so depending on the route you take, it may just be a new exhaust system or an exhaust + header + intake. all in all, the price will be about the same, but you will get more power out of the cat-back.
