How do I replace a taillight cover on a 2006 Poniac G6?

Q: I backed into a tree in my wife's 2006 Pontiac G6. I have found how to replace the bulb, and I am guessing replacing the tail light cover is basically the same. I just want to be sure I get a good seal between the cover and the car. Any one know for sure? I found out today just what you said. I will have to get the whole tail light, not just the cover, which means it is more expensive. :(

A: It's a taillight pod, although the unit housing bulbs may be separate, and unclips. You unscrew about 4 plastic round thumbscrews - I haven't looked at ours yet, but did this with the Grand Am multiple times.
