Q: Been having issues with the manual immobiliser in my car. Intermittently, I enter the correct code, hear four beeps and the red light continues to flash.....no start!! There seems to be no pattern to when it is going to happen and is beginning to drive me mad! Can I fix it, if so, how? Or would deactivating it help? If so, how do I do that? Thanks!!!
A: Under the battery you have a big multiplug coming from the chassis to the engine. Disconnect this plug clean it up if it is dirty then reconnect it. The keypad should know work . If this works then to fix properly you will need to bypass 3 wires across this plug. wire number 820/821 and BF13. Is it a 1.5 Diesel. This problem happens more on this model. Did some petrol's for this but i cant remember if the petrol model used wire number BF13. 820 AND 821 ARE DATA WIRES FOR THE KEY PAD. GOOD LUCK
