my 206 cc roof ain't co min down any ideas?

Q:

A: I am totally guessing on this one, but since you haven't had an answer in two days..... I still own a 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible. And the top goes down, but first the boot opens up into two folding sections, then the top goes down, then the two boot sections go back down, and straighten out, then it closes, and two worm gears tighten it all down firmly. Ahhh 12 different steps, each controlled by a relay (29 dollars each back in 1988). MY POINT BEING...I think you have something wrong with your first STEP #1. The multi-step process won't begin. Look for the fuse, relay, connection to be a problem. What is step #1? I don't know? Roof unlocks from windscreen? Also, some tops will not go down unless engine is in neutral or park. Maybe there is a break in communication for this safety feature.
