Q: Hi, Iv got a Peugeot 106, Zest 2, 1100cc, 3dr, W reg. I was wondering how many wheel studs they have. I know how to find out but all of the wheel trims on my car are cable tied on so dont want to remove them. If anyone has fitted alloys on this car, or have good car knowledge, what size alloys could i put on it? Many thanks

A: yours are four-stud wheels (peugeot stopped using three-stud wheels on the 106 in 1996, there's plenty of 106's and Citroen Saxo's still about on them) the PCD is 4x108 (four stud holes, distance between them 108mm) - here's a good guide which explains PCD measurement http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Alloy-wheels-amp-P-C-D-comparison-by-KERBSIDEMOTORS_W0QQugidZ10000000001037254?ssPageName=BUYGD:CAT:-1:SEARCH:2 your car has most likely got 155/70x13 size tyres on at the moment. If you want to avoid having to adjust the speedometer and odometer, then make sure that the new wheel/tyre combo is the same rolling size as your new wheels - use this amazingly helpful guide to compare sizes; http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp If they are 155/70x13T then possible options would be 195/45x15 etc - have a play about with the size calculator to see what's possible. If you're going to change the width of the tyres, remember to check that they won't foul when you've got the steering on full lock and when the car is fully loaded. Ask the advice of some bona-fide 106 nutters on this forum; http://www.106owners.co.uk/forums/index.php they've even got an area for threads relating to wheels and tyres
