Q: i am looking to color code and spray paint all my bump strips from side to back and front. (1999 model, 3 door)
A: I think?? that they are just glued onto the metal body during fabrication. A very strong glue is used. On my Peugeots from the 1980's and early 90's, sometimes this glue starts to loosen at the ends. When the bumpstrip starts to curl up, you can never hold it down with strong glue again. Glue + screw is the unsightly solution. I recommend taping off your doors and body with tape and newspaper... then spraying the plastic strips IN PLACE.
