Q: I will take it back to the garage but I would like to know if there is something i should know, The brakes also sqeal but I am more worried about the accelerator in case it is the gearbox and it goes in a couple of month any advice please when the weather was cold I never really noticed but now the warmer weather is here I opened the windows and was shocked to hear the noise was from me. I dont notice the noise when I am driving in top gear but when I am going slow round the houses taking my foot on and off the accelerator (not the brake) it squeals , have booked it in for monday but it is nice to say "Could it be the ...."
A: If you mean the car squeals when you rev it it's more than likely a loose drive belt the brake squealing is possibly a build up of brake dust in the callipers to be on the safe side have the brakes checked as soon as possible better to be safe than sorry hope this helps best wishes
