Though if its a diesel and, as long as it has genuine, up to date history then it should'nt be a major issue. If it's a car your looking to buy then you have bargaining on your side. Provided the car is in good condition and has no major mechanical or electrical issues then you could deduct upto a grand off the s/h book price. Keep a diesel engine well looked after and you'll see a service life of 250,000 +!
