A: You would need the wiring looms and fuse box and ECU from the gti engine. You would need the 5 speed gearshift linkage points on the car body. I'll be your 1.1 engine has a 4 speed gearshift? The heavier engine will require a different strut (shocks) strength. Higher speeds and power will require stronger brakes. (does the gti have 4 disc brakes??) I think so. I keep reading that the driveshafts are different too. Hopefully the driveshafts will fit into your 106 front wheel bearings? better be sure, otherwise you'll have to change front wheel hubs, struts, brakes, suspension. But the biggest problem is all the electronic sensor wiring to replace within engine compartment and dash.
