A: Do you mean the automatic gearbox, gear oil level? Which model Peugeot? 205? The dipstick is in front of the engine, and has a brightly coloured top handle. With the engine idling, and the gear selector lever in the P = Park position, withdraw the dipstick and wipe off the fluid. Then, reinsert the dipstick, withdraw it once more.Not the level on the stick...it should be between the upper and lower marks. When "topping up" add new fluid through the dipstick tube. MORE MODERN PEUGEOTS just have a fill plug that you open. You fill it until it runs out a little, then replace the plug. But please report back with your model......thanks.
