Q:

A: I don't think there is any adjustment you can do on the brake compensators. Inside the compensator, there is a steel ball that stops fluid from entering the brake line upon a rapid deceleration. OR, other types have a fixed calibration from the factory and that's that!! Sometimes the angle of the compensator (as it is attached to the firewall (front of car) is pre-determined by a mounting bracket. You can't change that either. If there are two compensators, then they are usually fitted at the rear of the car, and the 4 brakes are split diagonally between the 2 compensators. Nothing you can change about that either. Of course you have to bleed the air out of the lines, as you do with any brake replacement parts involving the fluid. Sometimes Peugeot "modifies" the compensators, and the new ones are found on later versions of the same car. Be sure you use the SAME type when replacing one piece instead of both. (example: the 205 Gti, type F and E. E was newer!!!?)
