Q: how would i turn of the spanner symbol?
A: It's the service light, you switch it off this way : Switch ignition OFF. Press and hold trip reset button Switch Ignition ON. Keep trip reset button depressed for 10 seconds. Display will now read 0 and 'spanner' Symbol will go out.
