Q: I have disconnected car stereo and removed glove compartment, to gain access to area behind dashboard. However I can't find any holes behind dashboard, in which I can feed power cable through to car battery. Any advice on how to get cable from interior of car to car battery ?

A: Look on the "fire wall", the wall at the rear of the engine compartment. Look for large rubber plugs which already surround a cable of some sort. Probably, there is an extra rubber plug that doesn't surround anything. These unused plugs could be for an option like Air Conditioning, or Left Hand Drive models. Pull one of these rubber plugs out. Shine a bright light into it with a torch (flashlight) while someone else looks beneath the dashboard for the light beam. PUSH away sound insulation with a long screwdriver if necessary. You may be able to see a way to feed a wire downwards to the floor. Lastly, drill a hole in the plug to accommodate your new wires. Soft, flexible Plugs are easily forced back into the hole. I have done this to other models to add a temp guage, ammeter, vacuum guage. I don't know how much power you need, but perhaps there is already "power" under the dash for you. Can you use the cigarette lighter 12 volt connection? Or do you need a heavy 10 guage wire? LAST RESORT....If you are sure you will not damage a pipe or tube or brake line..just drill a new small hole. Seal it up afterwards with a blob of silicone.
