Q: My Peugeot 206 1.1 Petrol Engine keeps loosing power. Last night it lost power, i can only get the car to around 30MPH MAXIMUM in like 2nd gear. This morning it was working great so i took it to the garage who checked all my Plugs, Points and Distributer and all was tested 100%. The garage had changed the Catalytic Converter as this was diagnosed the cause of the problem. Tonight i went out and AGAIN it lost all power and i had to nurse it home getting no more than 25MPH. The battery seems fine as it starts first time every time. The Rev counter seems to bounce to around 400 revs and up to about 1100 revs and back again. The engine has quite a loud chapping noice as if its not firing on all cylindes. Regards Jamie C
A: Sounds like the coilpack is faulty as this would give the same symptoms.
