Q: can you put one or two seats into the boot of a peugot 406 estate car? it is a R reg. im not sure because of the age of the car

A: I would say, NO. Although there is a strong chassis frame UNDER the floor of the boot to attach seats, there is no possibility of making room for a passenger's feet and legs. The petrol tank is below the floor, and the spare tyre mounted. also, I believe a seat on the floor would cause your head to touch the ceiling. If not constantly, then certainly when you drive over a bump. GEORGE D, I believe you meant the 505 and the 504. Never the 405 estate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_505 The family estate, with its third row of bench seats (giving a total of 8 forward-facing seats), The 504 has 7 forward facing seats. My family owns one still. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_504
