Q: The pump only worked to about 37l and now my fuel indicator is only at about 3/4. I tried to put more petrol in the tank but it didn't work the pump spit petrol out of it. I thought the petrol produced some kind of froth but I waited some time before trying to put some more but it still didn't work. I don't know why this is happening my car is practically new it never occured before. Can the cold cause this? It's about -6 degrees outside

A: Your "low fuel warning light" comes on when you have about 10 litres left in the tank. So, when you fill it up, 37 to 40 litres sounds about right. NOW>>> the fuel guage that only indicates you have 3/4 tank... that could be your only problem. The cold air should have nothing to do with this. -6 Centigrade is a normal winter. -6 Fahrenheit is darn cold!!
