Q: I have a 2004 , 1.8 petrol, Peugeot 407 and every so often the pwer in the car will no go above 2000 revs with the screen saying 'engine manegement failed system'. Does anyone know what this means

A: Yep, fault with a sensor or a genuine problem with the engine is causing the ECU (Engine Control Unit) to run in "safe mode". You can only do 2000 revs as you are meant to take it to a garage straight away. which is what you should probably do! Only other suggestion being if it gives a code e.g Man Fault 453, google it and it should tell you whats likely to be up with it!
