why isn't any peugeot around in Canada and america at all?

Q: ok, now, thats for you, Euopean peugeot fans!!! i find peugeot a good car??? yet dont find any in Canada/USA. do you know if there is any political conflict btw france and Canada, that the import of this car is banned or is it because of something else?

A: The make Peugeot is not banned in Canada or the USA. The last imports to the USA were in 1991, then it was only the 405, 505, 205, and those seemed to go to California, and New England only. Thereafter Peugeot realized that the emerging economies of the world were BETTER places to sell cars than the over-saturated market of Japanese flooded America. Africa, Asia, Indonesia, India, China. There are billions of customers there, and Peugeot is now sold in 140 countries worldwide. I think Peugeots of the 1980's and 1990's are easy to work on, and many parts are interchangeable between models. The rising middle class of the new world economies (NOT USA, NOT CANADA) is the place to sell your cars now. Btw, I am myself American, and not bashing the USA or Canada. In America, I have a Buick and 2 Fords.
