Q: my car is a 1999 xs model would a mechanism from a D TURBO 1995 model be ok both are 3 door hatchbacks
A: You should check into it, there's a good chance they use the same mechanism but but yours is a series 2 and a 1995 model would be a series 1 and there could be differences.
