I have a 1996 peugeot 306 1.6l that uses regular petrol. How much oil goes into it for an oil change? Thanks?

Q:

A: I'm guessing 5 liters. That includes enough oil to run through the oil filter as well. 99% of the cars I've owned needed 5 liters or 5 quarts. AFTER DRAINING your oil, and replacing the drain plug....I suggest adding 4 liters all at once. Then add the last liter while checking your dipstick level. Then run the engine for one minute, then check dipstick level again. It's a good idea to renew the copper ring around your oil drain plug. I THINK it is a 22mm ring (outside diam). Not sure though. The only Peugeot engines that require 4 liters are the 954 cc engines. Also called One liter, 1000cc engines.
