Q: I have replaced the battery on my remote key fob, but it is no longer in sinc with the car & won't work. Does anyone know how I can reset it without having the cost of the dealer resetting it? Please help!
A: If your remote has 1 button then: Unlock driver's door with ignition key. Press and hold lock/unlock button until LED stops flashing. Release lock/unlock button. LED remains illuminated. Press lock/unlock button LED goes out. Enter vehicle. Hold remote against ignition switch. Press lock/unlock button . Switch ignition ON. Wait 10 seconds. Switch ignition OFF. Wait 5 seconds. Synchronization procedure complete. Confirm synchronization has been successful by locking and unlocking vehicle. If you have 2 buttons then: Unlock driver's door with ignition key. Press and hold lock/unlock button. LED flashes. Wait for 20 seconds then press double locking button. LED stops flashing. Release lock/unlock button. LED remains illuminated. Press lock/unlock button. LED goes out. Enter vehicle. Hold remote against ignition switch. Press lock/unlock button. Switch ignition ON. Wait 10 seconds. Switch ignition OFF. Wait 5 seconds. Synchronization procedure complete. Confirm synchronization has been successful by locking, double locking and unlocking vehicle. Good luck.
