A: The direction indicator stalk is a complicated switch with many internal springs, levers, and copper contact points. When something goes wrong INSIDE, you cannot repair it. I've tried! As soon as you start having problems with it for headlights, indicators, horn, you should replace it. A brand new one from Peugeot will be expensive. Try to find a used one and learn how to remove the plastic covers around the steering wheel. You will just need some torx screwdrivers, small phillips screw drivers. The same indicator stalk can be found on several years of the 406, and possible on the 306 as well. Just replace it and that RARE problem will be fixed.
