Q: Problem was intermittent, but now won't start at all. Changed spark plugs and crankshaft sensor. No Joy! Also tapped, coded, key on ground to remove static. No Joy. Please advise. Jim C
A: Hi Can you hear the fuel pump on its 1 second priming run when you turn on the ignition? It will sound like a 1 second buzz or hum. If not then you need to turn your attentions to the fuel pump relay/fuse/wiring. If the pump does run then does the engine start and run briefly if you spray starting fluid or carb spray into the intake whilst someone turns the engine over? If not then you are missing spark and the problem could be the coil pack. If it does start then you need to turn your attentions to the fuel pressure regulator, and check for an injector feed and pulse for starters.
