Q: I have a peugeot 106 automatic and today whilst driving, all of a sudden it started knocking throught the body of the car. Then after about 5 or 6 miles the steering wheel started shaking even at low speeds, and then after a further 3 miles a squeaking sound began and it seems to be getting worse, the knocking is not constant it's when I release the accelerator that it knocks. When car is idle there appears to be nothing wrong, it's just when driving. I have new breaks, new back box and rest of the exhaust is sound. I have not managed to find any help on line so any links would be appreciated.
