My Land Rover's Cruise Control stopped working, Whats wrong?? HELP?

Q: I just bought a 2000 Land Rover Discovery, Series 2. I have been using the Cruise Control regularly since I bought it- But now the speed won't set. I spend a lot of time driving on the freeway, and its KILLING me to constantly have to use the gas peddles.I looked in the manual of the car- but nothings working,, any help or insight would be helpful. thankyou for the time, Krystal.

A: Start with the fuses, then: Cruise control throttle actuator - check its operation, and that nothing has come loose. yours is an integrated cruise control, meaning that it is part of the vehicle's computer system. Given that the vehicle is still running without reporting a OBD II error (check engine light or similar); it is likely that the issue is on the actuation side, rather than the sensing side. If it is not obvious, the repair will be expensive.
