Q: i was riding down the expressway and then all of a sudden i would press on the gas but it felt liked i would BARELY get any pick up.....even when i had the rpm's going up to the 3thounsands then i looked at the gauges and realized that the battery was critically low but when i stopped the whole car would be shaking pretty bad... i would really like to know if any permanent damage could have happend also the power steering wouldnt work but that happend about an hour before the car stopped picking up....i would EXTREMELY appreciate advidce please help thank you
A: It sounds to me like you broke a drive belt. Maybe the one that turns the alternator and the power steering pump! I doubt there is any serious damage other than the battery taking a beating. Get you car in and have the belts checked. Best of luck.
