I was thinking of getting a smart fortwo car as my next car. Is that a bad decision?

Q: It will only be me and I do a lot of city driving. Any information would be great, thanks.

A: 2008 Smart ForTwo 33/41 mpg, $12,190 If you like it's styling then sure. It has poor handling, not the best mpg, and poor space. When you say "city driving" do you mean San Francisco, Chicago, New York? A Smart would be good in that kind of "city driving". If not, there are better choices. Like a Toyota Prius 48/45 mpg, $24,150 Honda Civic Hybrid 40/45 mpg, $24,220 Nissan Altima Hybrid 35/33 mpg, $27,345, (limited states) VW Jetta diesel 29/40 mpg (coming soon, ~$20,000) Honda Fit 28/35 mpg, $16,020 Toyota Corolla 27/35 mpg, $18,025 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid 26/34 mpg, $24,545 (limited states) Honda Civic 25/36 mpg, $17,625 Toyota Matrix 25/31 mpg, $20,325 Nissan Altima 23/31 mpg, $22,235 Mazda3 22/30 mpg, $18,365 All prices without rebates. With rebates and internet offers, the non-hybrids can get to be nice prices.
