Q: i have a v6 firebird and I'm thinking about putting in a programmer and a new exhaust system. i think ive chosen my programmer but I'm having trouble decided on exhaust. what do you guys think is better? i don't want much raspy and i want a deep tone. i thought about flowmaster 80 series and pacesetters but if i could have some opions that would be great. and i don't want a v6 haha I'm in college. .
A: I don't think any muffler you use would sound raspy. I've had several GM V6 engines with either a glasspack or no muffler at all (just the catalytic converter) and they sound just as good as a V8. If you had a 4 cylinder, though, that would just be nasty. 4s need a decent muffler.
