whats a good first car?

Q: okay i need something a little sporty, cheap to insure, nice to look at (not realy old models) something that people are gna look at and go cool car not what a loozer. ya get me! ;)

A: The problem with all of the answers above me is that they don't take into account the biggest concern: Safety. Ford ANYTHING should automatically be ruled out. They're dangerous, don't get as good of gas mileage, and insurance companies tend to agree that they are not the ideal car. Most coupes will raise your insurance a bit. You're best off going for a Toyota Corolla, a Honda Civic, a Honda Accord, or any of the smaller to midsized sedans offered by Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, or a Volkswagon. My current (and first car) is a 2000 Toyota Corolla manual transmission. I LOVE my car. It was cheap, my parents' total annual car insurance dropped over $400, and it's fun and easy to drive. Sure, it's not the most attractive or fancy car out there, but if you're a new driver, you should do everything you can to stay under the police's radar. If you're speeding in a beige 2001 honda accord, and the guy next to you is going the same speed, but driving a red 2007 BMW 328i, they will almost indefinitely pull over the BMW.
