Q: why maruti's A Star is called as concept car
A: Every car design or design study is called a concept in its initial stages.In cocept form a car designer has liberty to play with design or add a technology which is not commonly available in market.Like pink colour indicators on A-star.A concept car is presented to the public in aoto shows to guage the reponse of the car buying as well as general public. When the design of the concept car creates a huge wave among general public , car companies decide to make that car a production car or in case if the entire car design cannot be approved some of the design element are adopted for future models.( the famous bulgarian beard grille of Audi was adopted in a similar manner) . so the A-star was concept , but now a production model is derived out of it to make it a practical every day car.
