Q: I have $6000 dollars to spend. My grandma has a 1995 jaguar xj6 vanden plas in great condition. she would be willing to sell it to me for $6000. I would really like a car with more performance though. I want a car that will turn heads and does not need after market parts other then an intake filter. Please help me make up my mind in what to get. i have money for gas and insurance The 6,000 is just for the car
A: Nice looking car but if all you have is 6K to spend you will probably run in to problems with maintenance and repair cost unless you have a fat wallet when when it breaks or needs repair. For chuckles call the jaguar dealer next week and see what it cost to replace the starter with labor. If you like the style check on E-bay for the 70's and 80's models. Lots of folks are swapping everything over to a chevy 350 drivetrain. Very cheap and accessible parts with more power than the straight 6 jag put in them. Easy to work on also.
