Q: I'm 15 and looking for a first car. My mom has an 01' Mercury Sable that I could buy from her for $2,500, but the thing is I really don't like the car that much. I can't seem to find a car anywhere around $5,500 that is good. Any suggestions??
A: For a first car the Mercury would be fine. At least you know what kind of care it has had. Most kids want a brand new vehicle but they always end of wrecking them. Plus think about what the insurance cost will be. I would have been thrilled to have had a nice first car. I paid 100.00 for my first one and let me tell you it was a dandy. lol the price she is asking is fair. how many miles does it have? go to : Kelly Blue Book to look up other cars you may be interested in to see what they are worth. You will need details like make, model, year, mileage, etc. but if you find one you like write down details then look up to see if you are getting a decent price.
