Q: Hey, I'm writing something involving cars from the 1970's. I was wondering what the make, model and year of cars driven by 17-20 year olds in the late 70's. These guys are really into cars but dont have a lot of money. Ideal answer would be for teenagers in New Zealand. But U.S. would be fine too.
A: They weren't driving Trans Ams or Camaros if they didn't have much money. Gremlins, Pintos, Vegas, Pacers, Novas, Mavericks, VW Beetles, Mercury Capris, or some older beaters from the 60s like Ford Galaxies, Chevy Impalas, Olds F-85s, and Dodge Furys.
