A: Don't forget to consider the Chevy Colorado & GMC Canyon 4x4, compare both engines 4 & 5 cylinder. I own a 2006 Canyon Off Road 4x4 in the 3.5 five cylinder with an OD automatic and have averaged 20.5 MPG city/hwy year to date. (Yes, I run a spreadsheet) My best two fill-ups this year have been 24.2 & 23.9 MPG. With the slow down in sales and GM employee pricing & rebates, I bet you could find a super deal on one of these models that is older inventory at one of your local dealers.
