Q: Someone told me there is a chip to give you better gas millage in your gar. How much do they cost? Do they really work and are the really worth the price and installation? Where can they be purchased? 2001 Buick Regal by the way
A: I would be skeptical - car manufacturers tune the OEM chip to deliver the best mpg. An aftermarket chip is typically installed to increase power. If you want better mpg, switch to synthetic oil, accelerate moderately [opposed to quickly] and maintain tire pressure.
