Q: hello everyone, i wanna buy a new car, and i want it to be of high performance. i don't which criteria is more imprtant hp or torque in an engine. which makes the car stronger and faster? what cars do you suggest knowing i can't afford more than $50k
A: Torque gives you acceleration. horsepower gives you higher top speed. I say torque is more important. Also consider in the power to weight ratio, just simply do the math. Also consider the gear ratios. A close ratio transmission is better.
