Q: We are looking for a van ( #4 child due in a month) and want to know what others love and hate with their vans.
A: I had a '98 Chevy Venture and I loved it. It went over 200,000 miles with nothing but regular maintenance. I had the extended version with 7 passenger seating. The reason I don't have it anymore is that the oil pump went bad and it spun a bearing before I could get it shut off. I had several other vehicles to drive so I sold it to a friend. He put a rebuilt engine in it and his wife is driving it to this day. With the exception of the engine, the rest of the van now has almost 300,000 miles on it and it still looks like it's new.
