can i install a fastback?

Q: im lookng to buy my first car and i have my mind set on a 67 mustang thats going for $5000 and was wondering if it was possible to install a fastback on it. Thank you

A: Wait a minute, if I'm understanding you, what you're saying is that you're looking at a Mustang notchback or convertible, and you'd like to know if you can just install the fastback roof and rear window on that Mustang's body? With all due respect... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?!?! Sure, technically, it WOULD be possible to do something like that if you were somebody who'd completed a metalworking and/or auto body repair course at your local community college and then gained a lot of work experience doing collision repair at a body shop. If that was you, however, you wouldn't be asking this question, 'cause you'd already know you could, technically do it, but you'd also know what an enormous amount of work it would be, and that you'd be much better off just buying an intact Mustang fastback to begin with. I don't care if the $5000 Mustang you're looking at has the ultimate engine, best suspension, tires, and brakes, a custom interior, and a sound system better than you'd find inside most dance clubs: You'd be better off dismantling that car and installing all those pieces on a fastback Mustang, as that would still be way less of a headache than attempting to turn a notchback or convertible into a fastback. All of this assumes you're competent to do the work and are doing it yourself. If you were to pay somebody else to transform your Mustang into a fastback, meanwhile, the cost of such a project would quickly exceed the purchase price of a decent, original fastback, by many orders of magnitude.
