Q: HI AGAIN IAM 15 AND I WANT TO NO WHAT WOULD BE A NICE CHEEP STARTER CAR FOR ME

A: 1992-1995 Honda Civic or similar cars. You want the best gas mileage and a minimum amount of performance (more performance just eats away at your gas mileage and for an inexperienced driver could cause problems as far as keeping the car on the road goes). If a car is reliable that good too, and if it's got some miles on it you get to fix all sorts of minor things that will make you independant of professional help (which is never cheap and seldom good). Most cars need spark plugs every 15-100K miles depending on what spark plugs are used (copper is 15K, platinum/iridium is 60K+) and if you get a car its easy to do. You can buy 4 coppers for like $5 or pay $35 or so for a set of fancy ones. Fuel filters need to be changed every 15K miles from what I've heard but in some vehicles it may be less or more. You'll notice right away when you take out an old filter that the gas that pours out isn't as clean as the stuff you get at the pumps. Air filters are not only a regular maintenance item but usually the first thing an enthusiast replaces if he's looking for more power, more sound, etc. If you open up your air box you'll usually find a paper filter and possibly a small handful of dirt, not something you want getting past your filter. You can either replace the stock paper filter with another paper filter, a reusable cotton filter (like K&N makes) or an aftermarket cone air filter which doesn't use the stock airbox and tends to make your car sound really loud and is also reuseable Your timing belt and water pump should also be replaced at some interval. In most cars if a timing belt breaks your pistons and valves will collide and require you to spend well over a thousand dollars on parts and labor. Most cars I'm used to working on you are supposed to replace them every 60K but my mom's car is good for 105K. Oil and oil filter is probably the most commonly known maintenance item. Every couple of months or thousand miles you are supposed to replace them and it's not that hard to do. You can pick up about 5 quarts of mobil 1 oil for like $8 and get yourself a filter (I use mobil 1 filters but they are pretty expensive). Whether you have to replace them as often as the label says is debatable but a tank of gas is $50 these days and I go through a couple tanks a month so it's not a big deal to me to replace my oil every 6 months and it will save you money in the long run. Just learn to drive, get your hands dirty and your car will be your best friend for a decade or more assuming you don't wreck.
