With Kia's 10 year warranty how often does your car need to be serviced by KIA

Q: I'm recieving marketing letters with marketing phrases like "dont let kia void your warranty" The flyer seems to bit a inconsistent with my owners manual though. The owners manual shows I need service every 7500 miles though kia's marketing letter say you need ervice every 5000 miles. I just dont want to spend 80 bucks on a dealer oil change where all you get is an "inspection" of the rest of your car. i'd rather spend 20 bucks at the carspa down the street and get a free car wash....oh yea free wifi while im waiting. If someone could clarify the service rules that would be awesome.

A: You can do maintenance work anywhere you want as long as you can prove that it was done according to their specifications. They cant require you to use the dealer. As for what to do when. Go with the manual. You have to assume that they made those to promote a long vehicle life especially when they have such a long warranty and are attempting to prove they make good cars. For the 1st guy. You get a letter in the mail when your car is recalled telling you the problem and how to safely get it fixed. You can also look up that info on the internet.
