Q: i have recently bought a brand new Astra 1.8 SRI XP. It has the 1.8VVT engine with 140bhp. I find it very hard to make regular smooth gear changes as the accelerator seems to hold the rev for a slight second once you lift your foot - this delay changes and is sometimes longer than others, but never more than about 1.5 secs. Is this just a peculiarity of this engine or is it something i should go back to the dealer with?
A: more that likly it's the automatic choke. as its a new car take it back to the dealer and get the idle set again.
