Q: Hi could anyone tell me where the air filter is on my opel (vauxhall) astra 2001? I know there is one under the dashboard, i had it changet, but pieces of dust and durt kept entering the cockpit. I took it back, they changed it ok, and said that now it ok, there is no gap between the support and the filter. Still, after one week I have the same problem. Maybe there are two filters ? What could be the problem? When I turn on the wents (2-4 speed) it throws all sorts of stuff directly in my face :-) It`s annoying. Pls help.
A: Hi there. I'm not sure if you have a left or right hand drive model. but on the RHD model the pollen filter is located under the glove box on the RHS of the foot well. you will find a black air duct. on the air duct there is a strip of plastic about 15-20mm wide and about 200-300mm long. from memory there are three screws holding it in. behind that is your pollen filter. they aren't real easy to remove and install but that's all up to you now good luck hope this was of some help.
