Q: but i want to know should i start with the exhaust and short ram intke and headers, or do i go straight to turbo. and why? plz be detailed and if i do the basic mods and i turbo it what comes off?

A: First off, if you put basic bolt-ons first, you are well on your way to preparing yourself for your KA-T. Exhaust and intake tube will be a good start...but, once you go turbo, the intake tube will be replaced as you won't need it anymore. When you do, finally, go turbo, you'll need to replace your exhaust manifold, so don't do a header cause you'll just be wasting money as you won't get back out of it what you purchased it for as a used piece. You'll also need to upgrade your fuel system because the stock injectors won't do much with a turbo forcing more air into your engine. You'll also need to figure out how you are going to run your oil feed/return lines to and from the oil pan. Also, if your engine has a lot of miles on it, you'll need to be careful with how much boost you are running. You'll also need to decide if you are going to run a manual trans or an automatic trans. If you do a manual, you'll need to soucre that parts from either another Altima (if there were available in manual) or a late 80's to early 90's Stanza as some of those also ran KA24E engines. Lot's of people in the 240SX community are running turbo kits on stock engines and having decent results, but there are still some that are having problems. Swing over to www.nicoclub.com and browse through the KA-T and Altima forums and soak up as much information as you can.
