Q: Well my dad wants to buy a Nissan UD 4 cylinders with 200kmiles for $9500.00. I tried the blue book but they dont value the big trucks. Are they good trucks and is that a good deal. I forgot to tell you the year is 2000 for the truck. Everything looks great on that truck. Is the price to much ? My dad works in tile so its going to be heavy for the truck. It has 16 feet box at the end. Should he buy it is it a good deal ?
A: You could find similar trucks with similar mileage for much less. Personally, I would recommend a conventional International over a UD or any other import cabover. If you must have a cabover, the best is Isuzu. Since your hauling tile, make sure the GVWR of the truck is enough! Without a CDL the heaviest rated truck you could drive is 26,000 lbs. For that I would definately recommend an International chassis truck, a used Budget moving truck would be ideal, the 24 footers are rated at 26,000 lbs
