Q: The window opens on occasions and refuses to close...then later closes on its own....anyone had the same problem?
A: Are you sure it closes on its own? opening and not wanting to close is one thing the window switch has to be pulled up for the auto close to work. Try this lock and unlock the car with the key for a day or two with the batterys removed from your remotes. This eliminates the remotes express down feature. Get back to me if that works. Yes the 350z window motors will fail once in a while and the window switch may be a problem. But window lowering by it's self can be a remote that has been wet or become shorted. Like holding the unlock button to lower the windows. There may be a small gremlin in the door panel playing tricks
